I’m a product designer based in Tampa Bay 🏖️

I started photoshopping at a young age (version 6 I think). I was inspired by my uncle, an old school web guru and photographer, who taught me the basics. It mostly started with making goofy photos of my little brother - I loved the liquify filter - but that’s all it took to pique my interest.

Once I realized I could do this for money, I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up. After high school I studied traditional art at St Petersburg College and received my undergrad in graphic design at USF St Pete in 2011.

After getting my feet wet, I found myself in a role at Laicos, a bootstrapped startup, where I discovered my passions. First, I love working with small teams who wear many hats. Working closely with people who I can consider more than just colleagues. I was also able to hone in on the intricacies of working with UI and the problem solving of UX and product design.

I continued down this path which lead me to Perch Security, a cybersecurity startup, where I started as one of the first employees leading all things design. Working with our amazing team, we started with drawings on a whiteboard all the way to $10M ARR. In less than 5 years since the companies inception, Perch successfully exited to ConnectWise.

I found myself loving the intricacies of designing in the cyber security space so it seems like I’ve found my niche. I hope to repeat the process of growing small startups into flourishing companies. I’m currently leading design at Stairwell.

When I’m not designing I’m hanging out with my beautiful family, watching a weird anime or drinking some craft beer - all at the same time on a good day.
